ASTRA Joined the first of its kind, Public Safety STEM Career Awareness Day

ASTRA Joined the first of its kind, Public Safety STEM Career Awareness Day sponsored by The Coalition for Public Safety Training in Schools,(CPSTS, Inc) held Wednesday, July 29 at Prince George’s Community College. The Coalition’s partners including Prince George’s County Public Schools are seeking to build the innovation capacity and inspire public service by focusing on three future focused STEM career fields; specifically,

  • Forensic Science through Law Enforcement;
  • Fire Protection Engineering through Fire/Emergency Management Services; and
  • Computer Science and Technology through Homeland Security

Coalition for Public Safety Training In Schools (CPSTS) is based in Oxon Hill, Maryland and focuses on advocating school safety solutions and training programs in Prince George's County. As a coalition of concerned citizens, we ensure continuity and preservation of safety programs for local public schools.

The Coalition for Public Safety Training In Schools, Inc. serves as an advocate for students and program graduates seeking training and employment in public safety careers. CPSTS provides extra-curricular activities, mentoring and serves as a liaison between students and public safety organizations.
